WEEK 1 A

In class we first went over all the introductory things like reading the syllabus, getting other necessary information and learning about events to attend. there was also an assigned reading this week which was very interesting. The reading was called "What is Product Design" and it was accessed from www.medium.com. I found it to be a very interesting read, especially when it broke down all the different aspects that go into being a product designer. For example, I never knew that motion design would play an important role in being a product designer. But in all reality, there were several different components that play a role in being a product designer, and I didn't even know some of them existed. I think it mainly just changed my perspective since there are now so many jobs that I didn't know I would be capable of doing with my degree. Another thing that I liked about this class was an icebreaker we did around the room. I got to learn about the people around me, we even discussed our different strengths and weaknesses, which professors normally don't have students do. the main reason we did that activity was in preparation for our upcoming project. I'm nervous to see who I get paired with but after hearing what everyone had to say it will most likely be a good fit.
